As a new client of our vet service on the West Island, you can expect our full attention to your pets’ needs.

During a convenient in-home visit, we can provide a full range of non-emergency veterinary services, such as routine checkups and treatments as well as preventive care.

If you’re a first-time client, we’ll get some basic information from you on the phone and ask you to fill out a new patient form. Providing us your pet’s complete medical history is extremely helpful to the veterinarian and is essential to meeting your pet’s individual needs. You can scan and email us the medical records. This gives us time to review any pertinent information prior to the visit. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important. We can still work with whatever information you have.

Appointments are created on a first come, first served basis. Ideally, you will need to schedule your house call on a day where you don’t have too many time constraints as we give you a time range for the doctor to arrive at your home. This allows us to factor in traffic and any unforeseen delays that day. If we can work around your schedule, we will. You may request a call when the doctor is on her way to see you, which may help you plan your own day.

When the veterinarian arrives at your home, she will go over any current issues with you and begin the examination.

The doctor likes to work with patients in an area of the home where they’re most comfortable. However, a well-lit spacious room is extremely practical when possible. This can mean the kitchen, family room or even in the backyard in the summer. Sometimes, we need to use towels to help relax and restrain nervous cats or small dogs, so having one we can use on hand is helpful.

Payment is due at the time services are rendered and we accept personal checks, cash, debit, MasterCard and Visa.

In some circumstances, we will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery.
